Have a question about Rightmove?

How to remove incorrectly matched images from a sold price record.

If you've noticed the images of your property are linked to the sold price record of a different property, request to get these details removed by selecting the ‘get in touch’ button, or you can email customersupport@rightmove.co.uk.

Include the below details when sending this request:

  • Full address (including postcode).
  • Link to the Sold Price page on Rightmove (this will start with https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/details/).
  • Share details about what doesn’t match in the images to help us understand why the images are incorrect.

Find out more about incorrectly matched images, and how this can happen below:

What are incorrectly matched images?

This is where images and details of the wrong property have been matched against the sold price record of another property.

For example, pictures of 10 Rightmove Road have been incorrectly linked to the sold price record of 15 Rightmove Road.

How does this happen?

The photographs and previous listing details displayed in the Sold House Prices section of Rightmove are drawn from previous sales and lettings adverts, where the estate agent marketed the property on Rightmove.

If an agent uploads a property to our website and selects the wrong address, the images from this advert can be transferred to this address. We also link it to sale data which is provided by HM Land Registry and the Registers of Scotland.

What do we not class as 'incorrectly matched'?

These scenarios would be what we would expect from how our website works:

  • Outdated images - The images are of the correct property, but they are not from the time of sale.
  • Rental listing images- The images are of the correct property, but they are from the rental listing.
  • Previously listed date is 'incorrect'- The images are of the correct property, but the previously listed date isn't as expected.

The 'previously listed on Rightmove...' date that is displayed above the images on our Sold House Prices page is linked to when the property has been advertised and then archived by the system.

To get these details removed, find out about our process via our Image Removal FAQ page here.
