Where does Sold Price Data come from?
The information in the Sold House Price section on Rightmove is supplied to us directly by HM Land Registry (HMLR), and this is updated every month. HM Land Registry also provides this data to hundreds of other third-party websites due to sold price data being publicly available.
There are some records that HM Land Registry don’t share with Rightmove, which they refer to as Category B sales. For more information on these types of records, we suggest contacting HM Land Registry directly.
If your property is located in Scotland, learn about where this data comes from, via our FAQ page here.
Check the HM Land Registry website.

How to update incorrect/missing Sold Price information.
If after checking the HM Land Registry website, you notice that the Sold Price information is incorrect, you will need to make HMLR aware. This is so they can correct this for you, and share the changes with all third parties they provide sold price data to.
