Have a question about Rightmove?

I'm being shown Mortgage deals from NatWest. Why am I seeing these deals?

These are NatWest deals shown based on your application, including your property's EPC rating, loan-to-value (LTV) band, and whether you're a first-time buyer. They're intended to help you compare products before continuing with NatWest. We aim to show the NatWest deals available through this journey, even where two products look similar.

This article will help you with any other questions you might have:

What is included in the monthly payment?

Your monthly payment includes repayment of your mortgage loan and interest charged by NatWest. The breakdown on the page shows how much of your payment reduces your loan balance versus how much is interest. This is an estimate for information only. Your actual monthly payment may differ depending on the product you select, loan amount, term, fees, and NatWest's assessment of your application.

What does "Total cost" mean?

Total cost is an estimate of what you'll pay over the fixed-rate period shown, including mortgage repayments, interest, and any applicable product fees. Select "Show breakdown" for more detail on how this is calculated.

What is a fixed-rate mortgage?

A fixed-rate mortgage means your interest rate is fixed for a set period, such as 2 or 5 years. During that time your monthly payments won't change as a result of interest rate movements.

Why do some deals show a fee, and some don't?

Some deals come with no product fee at all, while others do. Where a fee applies, results are shown with it paid upfront by default. Paying a product fee upfront may reduce the total amount borrowed, but the most suitable option will depend on your circumstances and the product selected. Fee-added-to-loan options aren't available to view on Rightmove at this stage.

What happens when I select "Continue to NatWest"?

You'll be taken to NatWest's website to continue your journey, where you can review available options, seek advice if needed, and apply. Your Mortgage in Principle details transfer automatically, so you won't need to re-enter them. You will, however, need to reselect the specific product, as this isn't currently passed across. We plan to have this feature in future so NatWest can pre-pin your chosen deal.

Does clicking "Continue to NatWest" mean I've applied for a mortgage?

No. Clicking through doesn't mean you've entered into a mortgage agreement. It lets you continue your journey with NatWest and review the available information and decide whether you wish to continue before making any commitment.

Why are some mortgages marked as "Green mortgages"?

Green mortgage deals are only available for properties with an EPC rating of A or B, and may offer a lower rate, depending on the product available and NatWest's eligibility criteria. NatWest can confirm whether a specific property qualifies.

What is the example shown at the bottom of the page?

This is a representative example provided by NatWest, shown to meet a compliance requirement. It illustrates typical costs and isn't personalised to your search.

What's the difference between the deals shown, and which is "best"?

The deal marked "Lowest cost [term] fixed" is pinned to the left as a starting point, based on the term (e.g. 2-year or 5-year) and sort filters you've applied (e.g. "Lowest interest and fees"). Changing either of these will change which deal is pinned. You may wish to compare the full list on the right, as cost, rate and term all affect what may be appropriate for your circumstances.

Why does it say NatWest pays Rightmove a fee?

This is a standard commercial disclosure: NatWest pays Rightmove a fee for each completed mortgage. It's shown transparently on the page and doesn't affect which deals or rates you're shown.
